Short yardage

I like having Sammy Morris line up at FB in short yardage situations. I think that as far back as the tailback plays in I-formation, it gives the defense too much time for penetration before he gets the ball, whereas giving it to the FB for a straght run up the middle is more effective. Plus, if you have an OL lined up as a fullback, the defense knows the tailback is getting the ball. He can also get to a defender to block him a little faster than an OL.
