Patriots Player Departure Shaq Mason traded to the Bucs

Or a 4th rounder, plus and more importantly, one more year of a great G protecting our rookie QB

Yall acting like 30 Is something outrageous... i bet he will be getting 10M+ on his next contract

He’ll turn 31 before the start of the 2024 season. At $10 per year he would yield a compensatory pick in the….5th round.

Mason couldn't have played better for us. Sad to see him go, but if letting him and Karras go is the cost of securing 2 good tackles, it's a good move.

It's better to have bad guards with good tackles and a good center to help them out, than to have bad tackles out on an island.

That's assuming we figure out the tackle situation. We'll see what happens.

Is free agency over and the draft? Let's see what the roster looks like in a few weeks.
or 5 months

As much as I love Shaq. Don't like the move. I'm not worried. We're a run first team and Mason is a top 5-6 RG, top 10-12 ish overall. So it's not easy to shallow but there's absolutely a plan.
What

**** you

Rooting for Tom is not a bad thing

No, but being obsessed with him to the point of worship is annoying. The Gronkaneers thread is now over 580 pages long, easily topping the Malcolm Butler megathread if I recall. And there are some of you who still want that thread in the main forum...

We have to have something planned for Onwenu and absolutely are bringing in another OL. There's more than a few that could step in day one for cheap money in the draft if we want to invest a top 50-60 pick.

I have a feeling we're about to make some moves and feelings will change ....

How do you feel about CB? NT? LB?

It’s early but, poor Mac.

F*ck me? lol. Okay...

I care about tom brady as much as he cares about me, or you.

He could give two unprocessed avacado ****s about me or you; yet you feel the need to die on a hill defending, what? his honor, his legacy? Nothing will change his legacy, or what he meant to the Patriots.

But his time has past. He's no longer a Patriot. So, really, **** Tom Brady. Rooting for the brady & the bucs is just some front running pink hat bull sh?t.

Not to shabby. Tom's loving this trade.

955 snaps in 2021
4 penalties
1 sack allowed
86.4 PFF grade
PFF Rank #4 G

No you can root however you like thats why the **** you to you was merited. What are you the fan police? 99.9 percent of everybody here is in a internet forum of the New England Patriots meaning we shouldnt question anybodies fandom here(unless youre a true troll). However, there's nothing wrong rooting for the greatest player in franchise / NFL history when he doesn't play the Patriots. Specially considering he's in a team that have no rivalry to the Patriots.

I did originally, but I think him having his own forum is a win-win for everybody

No, no, no -- NOT **** him. Rooting for Brady is fine. Wasting bandwidth here pondering Tampa personnel moves isn't. There's a nice little side forum already established for that nonsense.

Tampa's personnel moves and game day threads don't belong on a patrots forum period other than part of a general NFL thread with 30 other teams.

Fan police? No. Im a guy expressing my opinion, much like you.

Im a guy who is mf'ing tired of the relentless onslaught of "tom brady" fans ripping the Patriots for every perceived flaw or misstep, real or imagined. Throwing the bucs out there like they are some great franchise who can do no wrong.

And that "I root for him when he isnt playing the patriots" is one of the biggest gobsmacks of ******** i've ever heard in my life. Its the refrain of the nutless sacks of wonder who are afraid that not being tied to Brady & the fact he wins in some way means that they aren't "winners" by extension. Get over yourself pink hat.

I like the direction this thread is going.
