Seymour: We're Physical too

Any defensive line that doesn't consider itself phyical isnt worth their collective salt.

What they consider themselves to be isn't as important as what they really are.
PATs really are Physical and they know it and stats back it up.

Yea, everyone keeps talking about how physical Jacksonville is.

Did they forget what usually happens to teams the week fallowing a game against NE? They're usually missing a few players to injury, and they usually drop their next game. Like every trend a few teams have made it out of their game against NE without any injuries and won their next game, but that's been the exception to the rule this year.

Damn, skippy, they are! The offense scores a gazillion points and somehow it makes them a soft/finesse team. Pls.....

Haven't you heard? NE...

can't run the ball
can't stop the run
gets carved up by mediocre QBs
can be stopped by pressuring Brady
has WRs you simply need to bump to stop
is a finesse team
can't play in cold weather
is ancient
just needs to be smacked in the mouth

...and in spite of all of this is somehow 16-0.

I've been hearing so much on how physical Jags D is but
nobody is much talking about how physical PATs D is ... did they forget?
This is why Jacksonville is a good matchup for us. Not only should our speed match up well with their defense but they're a hot enough team to get a lot of "upset" talk in the media that the Patriots can use for their bunker mentality. Going against a supposedly more physical team is a far better place to be than facing a team that everyone says we'll walk all over just by showing up.

i of course agree with the sentiment you express, but i think we have to remember that most of the people who are saying this stuff are trying to build tv audiences and sell more beer, pizza and pickups.

d%#*!@t TBG!! Can a mod please close this thread down. Last thing we need is the Jags getting a "Blueprint" for destroying our deathstar.

Very true. I'm just frustrated that ESPN, Fox, NBC, and CBS fall into that category.

I don't really mind some writer from Miami trying to get attention by being a hack and making stuff up. It annoys me to tune in to the major sports media members and seeing them doing it.

Good to see Seymour talking that way. I know it's obvious, but I've had a feeling he wasn't really confident about the knee.

I'm no MD, but it seems he's had to rest his knee over the years and might have "loose ligaments?"

If anybody that knows anything can check me without laughing about my ignorance (laugh if you want, of course) don't some people have problem knees even without major injuries?

In almost every game, especially against playoff teams, (Colts, Chargers, Cowboys, Steelers, Giants, Steelers, Skins) the Pats finished stronger in the fourth quarter, and the other teams had more injuries and next game slumps (except the Giants). That was on both O & D.

I hope the Jags believe the Patriots aren't physical.

A bunch of teams have clearly suffered from Post-Patriots Syndrome this year. Check it out...

The Patriots' opponents this year had a winning record overall. Yet in their games immediately following NE, they went 4-11. And here's the kicker: three of those four victories were against the Jets and Dolphins!

of course, pats is a physical team. To think otherwise is foolish. We survived 'steeler' and 'giant' 'rush', didn't we.?

and The Pats will knock the next three teams they play into next season, hows that for tough?

everyone has a different 'tightness' to their knees, so yes, it is possible--if anything with Seymour, it is just a matter of wear and tear--degradation of the cartilage, constant pressure from carrying 300+lbs of athlete in adverse conditions, surgical trauma--I suspect that he receives regular therapy, perhaps cortisone, and has either arthritic or bursitic symptoms or both...
