Semi-OT: Running up the score

The Celtics just put 77 on the Nuggets (what a fitting name, the way they play) in the first half of their game tonight. Time for the "running up the score" bandwagon to start, right?

Seriously, is that even an argument in any other sport than football? It just looks ridiculous when you start applying it to other professional sports, let alone football.

This is really unbelievable. Would you ever, ever have thought that in one year, the Sox would win the series, the Pats would be pursuing an undefeated record and their fourth world championship, and the Celtics would be talked about as running the score up after putting up three quarters of a hundred in a half? Everyone likes to talk about karma, which I think is bunk (Karma is a stripper at the Foxy Lady, not some mystical cosmic force), but if it is in effect here, the local pro sports franchises must have been doing something right. Not so evil after all, perhaps.
