Seattle requests permission to talk to Brad Seely

Before, he was hired by Carroll.

Brian Schneider, the Raiders’ special teams coordinator the past two seasons, is on his way to Seattle to interview there.

I'm not a huge admirer of the Patriots' special teams -- particularly kick coverage and punting -- but I could be wrong.

What I'd like to know, following up DaBruinz' point, is: do other clubs devote as many spaces as the Patriots to special-teams-only players (Izzo, Alexander, Slater, Aiken, Washington, etc.)?

The kick coverage was not great this year. Neither was the punt coverage. The kick return and punt return units were very good.

But, again, there is only so many things a player can work on..

Also, Alexander hasn't technically been on the roster for the better part of 18 months since he's been on the IR.. Alexander is a RFA and will probably be a UFA if the Pats refuse to tender him.
