Schefter Report: Falcons Plan to Hire Raheem Morris as Head Coach for 2024 season

The BB haters like to think that he was lucky that Bledsoe was injured. If there is any doubt about making a conscious choice, the fact that an injured Brady started in the super bowl vs a healthy Bledsoe should make it clear that BB made a hard decision.
It wasn't a hard choice at all. Bill has said so himself. He said Brady had beaten out Bledsoe in TC that season but he didn't feel like he had the clout yet as a HC to sit Bledsoe who had just signed the first $100 mil contract.

Wasn't it Phillips who benched Flutie for Rob Johnson in Buffalo?

Phillips is a great DC. Gave the Pats fits.
I believe Ownership pushed for Flutie to get benched. Had he played, they easily beat Tennessee.

All reports point towards Ben Johnson getting hired by the Commanders.

BB's probably not gonna have a job coaching next year in the NFL.
He may wind up being a Tom Coughlin where he has to take an executive level job.

Yes, a very underwhelming choice, but you don't become the lowly Falcons by doing anything else.

If I'm Blank, and 86, I think I'd prefer some immediate gratification.
He could just go to Bob's bath house.

Call it a hunch BB/GM killed BB/HC coach Cap aka captain stone can tell you can't have one without the other.
I'm asking you. Not Cap Stone. I'll tell you why this is 100% believable that he wanted Jakobi. Because there was an article that came out claiming that long before Jakobi had success in LV and JuJu flopped here. That's why I believe it. Not only because Jakobi was a move-the-sticks type of WR, which is always preferable in Belichick's scheme over the home-run hitters. This is why a guy like Gabriel Davis wouldn't fit in well here

I'll take Gabe Davis for the new regime thank you: Big Guy who can run and not a skinny twig Tyquan. And regarding your question?? No I don't believe that.

Looks like Bill will be at a standstill with Ownership of other teams because they don’t want him clearing out Assistants and Front Office for him to hire his retread gang.

The bit of good news for the Patriots is any concern that Belichick would have his team bid for Dugger this year and Peppers or Barmore next year.

Anyone who thinks Belichick is no longer a good coach has absolutely no idea about football.
Problem isn't Bill the coach as it is Bill the total control guy. Would require total front office and coaching staff revamp and then Bill would be gone in two to three years. And then who would be his internal successors among the coaches he brings with him? Patricia, McDaniels, Judge? And even more, if you brought in a young QB that needs development, you look at Mac Jones and say "Yeah, I want some of that"?

The League is paying attention BB's ways haven't worked post Brady. It's the McVay - Shanahan Offensive league now though @upstater would have a hard time swallowing that.

Whoopty doo like we would have a problem out drafting BB not scared everybody else has.

Once he moved on from Kosar, 9-4. Playoffs. Win over Parcells.
I was dating my wife, who's from Cleveland, at the time. Her family are big sports fans and I remember the big controversy, Kosar vs Testaverde. It was contentious.

Lol, you continue to say this lie as fact, liar.

Here's a fact, Belichick went on Blank's boat after getting fired by Kraft, to get trolled into believing he had the job. Your own immediate family member told you the job was already agreed to. This was 100% Blank trolling Belichick for the SB. Embarrassed the crap out of him in front of the entire country.
Excellent point I never thought about that!

Wow, he who helped us win 6 SB’s is a fraud ???? If that is really what you think them I guess there is no point trying to have an intelligent conversation with you ! I I would be very surprised if you had any close family and friends as your expectations of gj must be so high that no one probably wants to be around you as who could live up to that. I suppose you wanted Bill to get the Pats 20 SB’s, then you would have thought he was half decent, correct???

I'll be honest with you. Bill was class A jack ass for forcing the GOAT out of NE. He was even bigger fool for believing the GOAT could not play at a high level anymore. These past 4 years, just like his 5 in Cleveland show just how mediocre/awful he is as a HC is without the GOAT. I know this hurts for the Bill worshippers on here BUT literally no team in the NFL wants him right now and that is all Bill's doing.

Then what do you make of the article by Callahan that came out before the season? Why was he saying that before we even knew how bad JuJu would be? You can't ignore the timing here. I mean, back when the article came out, BB (according to the VAST majority of this board including yourself -- let's face it, you were team JuJu over Jakobi) would have preferred Jakobi over JuJu.

Are you saying maybe Callahan was trying to make Belichick look like an idiot by preferring Jakobi over JuJu when hardly anyone else did? Another sign that the HC was out of touch with modern football? So Callahan made it up even though it wasn't true? He did it to make Belichick look bad?

The guy has been GM since 2000. If you think we have been outdrafted in that entire time, you're delirious.

The chances of landing ANY coach for longer than 3 years these days are 10% AT BEST. There are only 7 coaches that have lasted longer than that in the league right now. But in that time, a lot more have been hired and fired.

Atlanta's chances here are not very good at all. I'd just roll the dice with the best coach over the next 3 years, and a couple years after that, I'd be dead anyway

I said outdated since Brady left he made the **** show worked behind the scenes. Wining covers up so much I am sure even you know that.
