Goodbye New England fans, I'm out as a fan, heck I'm out as a football NFL fan with the whole NFL going dumb and woke pushing unbiblical ideas with their sodomite dancers, end racism myths, fake prosperity, virtue signalling, was a fun ride, I was just here cuz I respected the coach, 9 superbowls in 20 years and you let him go cuz you bended to the woke mob that hates BB.......sayonara have fun with the sodomites in woke Massashitets
Good bye sir
I will miss you

Odds are extremely likely he is holding on for Shula's record. Many people have reported that it is believed to be true. Belichick said in the past he didn't want to be Marv Levy and coaching in his 70s. It really seems the only thing that is keeping him coaching is the record.
Hmm, I’ve seen reports that Shula’s record is important to him, but haven’t seen anything to suggest that’s the only thing keeping him in the league.

To me, going to another franchise, winning a Super Bowl, restoring his legacy, and proving Bob Kraft and the people who have been saying it was all Brady wrong would be an even bigger motivation then crawling to a Shula wins record.

You are making the argument for firing Belichick. This team is devoid of talent on the offense. And it doesn't have a heck of a lot of young talent on the defense. You have a small handful of young player to build around on defense. That is it. Even many of the guys who performed this year like Peppers will be gone in 2-3 years when this team competes again.

And in the last two years, the team has been heading in the wrong direction.

The Pats are starting a new rebuild this offseason. They hit rock bottom this year and now they dig themselves out this hole. That would be the same with or without Belichick.
QB, LT, WR. Those are the 3 positions. Onwenu, Andrews x2, Sow and Strange make for a good OL if you can get a QB and a LT.

The defense is built the way great Belichick defenses of the past have been built. A lot of talent everywhere, a lot of good players, they mesh well and work as a unit. Great depth.

We're thinking of hiring a guy (and I hope we do, either Vrabel or Mayo) who epitomized this kind of defense.

I mean, if we somehow land Caleb Williams and he turns into another Mahomes, I will certainly be glad to see AFC CGs and the like.

We can do it! It's possible.

Otherwise, it's not likely. Everyone else is trying it. What's the force factor that takes us over the top now?
Even if you land Caleb Williams, The odds are that he won't have a GOAT level HC.

Having an elite QB does not mean SB's are around the corner. Just look at Luck, Herbert, & Turner in SD.

Tell Robert Kraft....

"Let my people go!"

I’m glad I’m seeing some of you admitting you’re not really fans of the team but loyal subjects of the emperor. It’s been obvious for years that’s many posters here but good to see it confirmed.

I think if he is in striking distance of a Super Bowl after getting the record, he will stay on beyond that. If he is coaching a fringe playoff team, I think he steps down. I mean he would have to be coaching a real contender. I don't think he would walk away if he had a legitimate shot at winning another Super Bowl. But that is the only way I see him staying on past the record.

That is your opinion. That isn't fact.

I am sure Kraft knows more about how to build a team better than us. He isn't one of those crappy owners who either absentee and only looking for the team to make them richer than they already are or just do stupid things to make big splashes. He is one of the better owners in the league.

Messing with football decisions is the definition of a bad owner. He has shown the proclivity to do this a few times now. I can understand not allowing it when you don't trust your head coach, but when someone has put in the work and faith and trust of a Belichick of always doing what is best for the team, that's when you don't meddle.

Good ****ing riddance.

But BB hasn't done what's best for the football team. Not in the last 3-4 years. Mostly it was setting himself up with a small coaching staff that wouldn't question him, hiring his kids, and making high draft picks to bolster the D without adding sufficient talent on offense.

I only root for one team in the NFL, I could see myself eventually giving up on the NFL, but never switching my loyalties to another team.

That said I would love to see BB win a SB with another team, just to prove his naysayers wrong.

Too many Pats fans come across to me as entitled, and they need a reality check.

We don't know if Owenu is even going to resign here. There was talk about David Andrews retiring after this season. How much longer do you think he is sticking around at age 32 next season? Sow and Strange are decent. They aren't anything special yet. And we have no idea what Jake Andrews is.

And you act like it is easy to get a solid QB, LT, or WR. It is extremely hard to get just one of them. The Pats need all three. That is at least two to three drafts to fill those needs. And who wants Belichick drafting or signing a WR?

And if Vrabel or Mayo can bring what Belichick brought on defense and are willing to modernize the offense and make it more of an emphasis, we may have a far better head coach for the times than Belichick.

I've noticed a lot of familiar names that aren't here since Brady left too. Both should be treated the same (forgotten).

Kraft went over two decades without interfering with football decisions. He let Belichick make Patricia the OC even though he was vocal that he thought it was a dumb idea. He isn't a meddling owner. Stop pretending that he is.
