Hate to see Vereen go, but that # is definately out of BB's comfort zone. Even if Ridley gone as well there are still intriguing options for that role with White and Gaffney on the roster. We already have 2 bulls in Blount and Gray so it would seem to be sustainable losses provided we can find some sort of mixture to replace his 70 catches (52 RS, 18 Playoff).
Would prefer to retain Connolly over any of the FA's Reiss mentioned as he's been a leader on that interior line and already has a year working with Googs.
As with everyone else here, the Revis situation has me nervous especially in light of McCourty set to hit the market. After the frenzy last year on safeties he's probably in line to get supremely overpaid as he's #1 and everyone else is 4 spots behind.
Not for nuthin as well, Wilfork and Branch would seem to be longshots to come back as well. Stuffing the run doesn't sound like that big of deal to many, but just ask the Colts how important it can be.
And, of course, as with every offseason, everyone focuses on every shiny object WR in the league coming here because that's the answer to everything. Signing a WR doesn't help the interior O and D-line, secondary or back situations.. If we do pick up any WR's or RB's and Amendola is cut loose, that player(s) should come with some skill and exp. in the return game. And BTW, we have a pretty darn good receiving core as it stands.
