Best wishes to James Sanders who has shown to be a smart and classy person. Though not as athletically gifted, he worked harder and knew the playbook better than anyone on that defense.

Hell, even when Sanders was a rookie, none other than Rodney Harrison singled him out in a press conference as someone he is impressed with. Anyone who knows Rodney Harrison knows that just never ever happened before. EVER.

Whatever happens in his player career, look for James Sanders to be a VERY successful coach someday (if he doesn't choose to do something outside of football).

blank always struck me as a weirdo, like the videogame character andrew ryan, from bioshock...just extremely weird, and from a different era

Nope....Bud Abbott from the famous comedy team "Abbott and Costello"

That picture reminds me of Vincent Price.

Good for him! Hopefully he will fit right in with his new team..........

I wouldn't be surprised to find out Bill let him go early so he could latch on with another team.

Good luck to him (unless we see him in the Superbowl)

Hey people, Falcons fan here. I just stopped by to get a little more info on Sanders and saw the thread. Kind of hard to believe that the idea that the Atlanta Falcons are a top tier NFL franchise was questioned. Especially when our GM, one of the best in the league, came from this organization.

I don't know how many people realize it but in the 3 seasons Dimitroff and Smith have been with the Falcons, they've won Sporting News' Executive of the Year award and Coach of the Year award 2 times a piece. We have one of the most experienced coaching staffs that gets more out of their players than they probably should. They turned 2 undrafted offensive lineman into all-pro quality players in Tyson Clabo and Harvey Dahl (Now with St. Lewis.) and undrafted/NFL Europa CB Brent Grimes into a Pro Bowler.

Players have begun to notice and want to play for this organization. They aren't quite where the Patriots or Steelers are yet but in the last 3 seasons the Falcons have the third most wins in the NFL behind just the Patriots and Colts. The most consistent team in the NFC to say the least. They just need to get over that playoff hump. Over half of our starters have 3 years or less experience so I'd say that's pretty dang impressive.

Anyway, I looked forward to seeing James Sanders compete for us this year and hope to see the Pats in the Super Bowl, I think it'd be a helluva game.

I believe a picture is worth a thousand words:

Sanders will be a very good addition to Atlanta, but it was time for us to move on.

Thanks for my Falcon!

falcons defense sucks btw. they are bend or break defense just like us.

Torched by Packers last palyoffs

They are definitely a bend but don't break defense, at least last year. But they normally didn't break. They were 5th in points allowed. We were without Brian Williams against the Packers and Chris Owens got exposed. We just added Kelvin Hayden to play the slot so we should be much improved now. In the regular season when we had Williams were actually did a decent job against the Packers.

Don't take it personally. A lot of people here don't like the style of defense that's gotten the Patriots 4 Super Bowl appearances and 3 Super Bowl victories during the Brady era. They'd rather have an attacking style that gives up big plays in order to make big plays.
