San Diego is going to be rough

I think the OT + cross country travel will make for some very tired bodies next week.

Are you conceding a Pats loss to the underachieving Chargers then?

I hate the term, "a talented team." All off season the media tried to shove it down our throats that teams like San Diego, Minnesota, and Dallas were insanely "talented teams." And now they all have losing records. Talented teams based off what? Last year?

Based off of name-brand fantasy football players.

I remember when the Chargers used to be Drew Bledsoes whipping boy team

It's been a little over an hour since the game ended, can't we celebrate a bit longer before thinking about San Diego?

EDIT-And that's meant as no disrespect to any Charger fans reading this thread!

No, but the game will be alot tougher than if they were playing in NE and didn't play a 5 quarter game today.

I agree not to mention that Rivers is by far the best QB we have faced so far. They have made much lesser QB's look like Pro Bowl QB's.

Gates is the type of player that would make me lose sleep. But he's hurt and might not play next week. That changes things drastically.

San Diego is a good team. They are good in all three aspects of the game. They are good on offense. They are good on defense. They are good on Special Teams. They have some real playmakers there, and Rivers is a hell of a quarterback. They are well coached and will be motivated coming off a tough loss and playing us in front of their home crowd. It will take our best effort next week to be competitive with them.

That said, no game is easy in this league and it would be really easy to look lightly at San Diego and turn it into a trap game. BB and that attitude is why I do not think it will happen.

does this mean we will have some of those annoying charger fans on this board ? some of them have been good but some have been quite annoying ...

also read that gates leg is in a protective boot and doesnt look good..that would be a big break if he has to sit out ..

We're playing a team who just lost back-to-back games to the Raiders and Rams.

That says a lot.

That says a ton in alot of ways......I think the Pats should have the edge.....Chargers should be firing Ole Norm anytime now......

Good thing we got a young team then, eh? I have a feeling they're going to bounce back just fine.

.
Actually 2/3. Their offense is second to none and their defense is top three but special teams have killed them. They have had three punts blocked, 3 kickoffs returned for TDs and numerous other long returns against them. That said, I see a tough game like today.

Not only is Gates Foot in an Air Boot, but Floyd pulled his Hammy too.

It will be a battle, SD always is and Rivers is a tough QB.

It's good though we want this team to be tested early and often, this is how the team built it's identity in 2001 and 2003.

I was drinkin kool aid and reading the speech. See the fill in the blanks?

I made my point after I came out of bb mode.

It's not like they're traveling to China.

I didn't have a good vibe about this game but with Gates out, Rivers loses a big weapon that we would have had trouble stopping.
