They won't pay him that so would he take 7M per? Maybe but its still too much money for a guy who disappeared in games last year. Big game vs Jax for 198 yards and 2 more 100 yard games.
No to Watkins. Go out and draft a AJ Brown who racked up more production than Watkins for pennies on the dollar. KC is moving on with Hardman if Watkins doesn't come cheap.
It's time to draft some young fast WRs who can do more for the team other than sitting in a whirlpool tub instead of chasing other teams castaway FAs.
He's a burner that disappears during games and sometimes during weeks in the season. WR3 tops.
I'd take Amendola over Watkins every time even if the money was the same.
Amendola comes prepackaged with the whole fit/chemistry/scheme/same-page completely solved. I wonder that is worth to the Patriots FO.
Would you take $4,000,000 less to call yourself a #1 receiver?
And in what bizarre scenario is he negotiating his price down so he can push his perceived depth spot up?

With what terms? Cooks is due a $4 million bonus on March 20 and then a $8 million salary. Do you trade for the full $12 million cap hit? I can’t imagine the Rams are overly willing to take on any of that to facilitate a trade when they’d already be eating $17.8 million in dead money.
I want to hear arguments for yes as well as arguments for no.
I'd pass on Watkins, would definitely prefer Amendola who knows our system and is super clutch.
I'd feel hesitant if they signed him for HALF of his average salary ($16m).
Give me Amendola at $4.5m per. He's got another season or 2 in him. He just put up 62 receptions, 678 yards with the LIONS, which rival his best season in NE.
He's under contract for 2020, and I've not heard more than that, beyond him acknowledging that the Chiefs might ask him to take a pay cut. What am I missing?
Not seeing alot of free agent options and I'm terrified of the draft.
Still think if Brady stays they try to trade back for Cooks.
It could be similar to the deion branch situation
He’s his kids Godfather when you compare him throwing to Meyers and Harry.Never ever got the vibe that Brady was all that high on Cooks.
Come on, Bill. Throw in a carport and get this deal done.I have always been a Dola supporter, but he is one player who I think never wants to play for Belichick again.

Hell yeah! He'll be the #1 here easily given the current choices.
Amendola and Edelman for a last year or two with Brady makes sense. The team should know about Brady at least a week before the new season starts. If Brady is here, Amendola MIGHT come.
