You're all missing a very interesting part of what he said:

DON DAVIS showed them and their wives around the stadium. Despite retiring a few days ago, this indicates (very good news) he may have been hired to remain with the Pats in some sort of capacity (i.e. Woicik's assistant, etc).

By the way -- when Davis FIRST came to the Patriots, his agent suggested he'd retire soon, and had joined the Patriots so as to learn things that would help him be a coach.
