Saints owner considering making Sean Payton highest-paid coach in NFL

Sean Payton in Philly with Nick Foles as his QB (who looked VERY good in pre-season) would be an exciting team to watch, they already have the receivers and RB so spend draft picks on the offensive line to fix that up and get a good DC in and Philly would be a very tough team to beat.

Let's see how this works. A used car salesman who is also the owner of the Saints is going to reward his head coach whose exemplary leadership:

1. cost the owner $500,000 in fines
2 cost the Saints' second-round picks in 2012 and 2013
3. got GM Mickey Loomis suspended for eight games
4. got himself suspended for the 2012 season
5 got Gregg Williams suspended indefinitely and Joe Vitt suspended for 6 games, and
6. cost his team two players for much of the 2012 season, and possibly beyond.

Brilliant. Just think what Rex could get out of him.

He can't say that he's going to make Payton the highest-paid coach in the league if he doesn't know what BB makes. There are probably four people who know the terms of that contract (RK, BB, his agent, and maybe JK).
