Saints Hoping to Emulate Patriots Success Following 'Bounty-Gate'
By: Ian Logue

The last time the Patriots were accused of breaking the rules and were called out by detractors the team did the only thing they could do that season. They went out and won every single regular season game....

Ok, was BB smiling when he said that about the Saints, while nudging TB giggling, or did he mean it, lol.:singing:

I think Saints fans and Patriot fans are united with their dislike of Goodell. Both these teams reputations have being tarnished and for what? Both these teams have been punished for doing something that was part of the culture of the NFL. Stealing signals has always been part of the gamesmanship of the game. I don't know about bounties, but a lot of teams have done similar things in the past. The Patriots themselves used to take money collected in fines for showing up late at meetings, and giving it to a defensive player who made a big play. Samual got it one week for getting a gamewinning int. It doesn't rise up to the level of injuring am opposing player, but now that can no longer be done. When I see the slap on the wrist the Jets got for a coach tripping a player during a game and all the denials afterward by Rex, I question the commissioner for not coming down harder on that. That falls right into player safety concerns and Goodell bascally did nothing. Goodell wanted to change the culture of the NFL, but so far it is not for the better.

That said, I don't think the Saints will go undefeated. Their division is just too tough. Atlanta will be tough this year and both Carolina and Tampa Bay are on their way up. I don't think they will win the division, but with Brees and that offense I think they wil be a wild card team.

Good let them follow the script and go 18-1 losing only the Super Bowl and lets be the ones to beat em :rocker: and to top it off why not make it 18-0 vs 18-0 :rocker:

It is a BB certainty that he will heap praise on the opponent each week no matter what but IMO he truly means everything he says just when it comes to the real crappy teams his focus of praise may be smaller or he has to dig deeper for something to praise.

Just shows were the news is at,lol. "I hope" is so far from" Oh hell yah we'll do it" . BB is a placater but he means well. Im sure he's thinking in his head " Why are you asking me this? This is so stupid, you just want me to say something nice or get a sound bite for a headline".

Belichick's quote did not exactly show any warm and fuzzies for Commissioner Goodell.
