Several posters have expressed concern at some of the naming issues in this year's safety class. I thought it might help to divide them into name-value groups.

Eric Weddle
John Wendling
Will Herring
Will Gulley

I'm very high on this group, full of tough, smart, high-character guys with position flexibility.

Josh Gattis
C.J. Gaddis
C.J. Wilson
Josh Wilson

A lot of tough, emotional guys who play beyond their physical limitations, but less consistent than the "Will Wuddle" group.

Brandon Meriweather
Brandon Sharp
Brandon Harrison
Brandon Mitchell

I think the Brandons are the worst group fit for the Patriots due to their strength/tackling/character concerns.

Biggest wildcard: Sabby Piscitelli.

I thought the Wilson brothers were CBs?

Are you saying Meriweather has tackling concerns?

where does leonard peters fit into those groups
i would love him to be on the pats maybe with 1 of our comp picks maybe in the 5th or 6th round
he would be a great special teams warrior for a very long time, great run stoper and a hugh hitter probally the best in the all of your groups

Some fine points raised here. After much soul-searching, I must concede that drafting a player based solely on his name is not the wisest strategy.

Just ask Eli Manning.

LOL!!

At least this wasn't a thread about XML.

well i wouldn't confuse his name with any of the groups listed, so i guess he doesn't fit in.
