They will for New England area. I tuned out tonight for the first time since TNF began. This past Sunday the TV was only on for the Pats game, and not on all day regardless of Pats kick-off. Between spygate, deflategate, and now this unnecessary injection of liberal identity politics...when TB12 is done, so am I.

I'm also done when Brady is done. It's become so bad that I almost wish it would happen sooner rather than later, but I don't want to wish Brady away from Pats fans. After he's gone I will still post here, but only about the Pats teams up to Brady's absence. Feel free to LuRk when the time comes.

Yeah , he is so thankful that he literally will pee himself when he is forced to hand out the
Belichick Trophy to NE PATS

Wouldn't surprise me if herr goddell started a new tradition of having one of the h o f new members give the trophy to the winners if the pats get to the Super Bowl....

The ratings won't be coming back for awhile. The NFL screwed the pooch big time with it's putting up with players disrespecting the country, live and in your face on TV. The NFL lost a ton off ans over this, and until they are convinced that it won't happen again, they are gone, and I mean GONE. I am still angered by itas well.

I refused to renew my NFL Sunday Ticket subscription, and I refuse to watch any other games except for New England, and college-wise, Alabama. That's it. I'm also NOT buying any licensed NFL products.

Fraudger thanks the Pats once a year when his bonus check arrives and Krafty's payout share is $1+ million. As Fraudger and his spawn jet privately over New England on his way to his Maine McMansion, he presses his middle finger against the window knowing it is good to be King. Krafty kneels in subservience as the jet rockets past Foxborough

Im sure he'll get right on it, that frekin douche.

There's nothing the League can do about it. There's no precedent to fine or suspend players for that kind of behavior. Now, Goodell could do something under Article 46 but after what we've been through with Deflategate I don't think any of us want him using that to bludgeon players for something he couldn't do otherwise.

There is no way he will ever do that. he will pre assign the task of handing the trophy to someone, knowing him it would probably be Peyton when they make him the league " ambassador" which they will....
He will totally avoid the possibility of someone saying " f you. " on national tv.

I believe that if Roger avoids handing the trophy, it would be an even bigger story that would dominate the media for a while. I think it's worse for him if he doesn't hand it out. Of course we have to win it first.

Remember that he was happy to wuss out and skip the NFL opener last year, and decide to have an NFL kick-off party in San Francisco of all places and attended that instead.

Like a typical bully, he's a coward. If the Patriots win the Super Bowl he'll find a way to avoid having the Lombardi trophy, and claim it was the plan all along regardless of who won.

I disagree. They are certainly free to express their views when off the field, out of uniform and off the facility. However, come game day, they are employees of their team and, by extension, the NFL. Their actions are negatively impacting the public perception of the NFL and also the profitability of the team. In any other business they'd have been told to standup respectfully or be fired. The NFL should do the same, and so should the team owners.

When Brady returns, so will the ratings.

I hope not. Whether or not the courts upheld the suspension, and now that it has been served, the league's actions remain unchanged. I don't know how anyone can justify boycotting while Brady is suspended and then go right back to full viewership once he's reinstated. It's still the same league, run by the same corrupt assholes as it has been. They still have every incentive to come up with a new -Gate whenever the fancy strikes them.

No one who was a fan of the NFL believes anything that comes out of 354 Park Ave these days, and that isn't just in NE. That is almost universally the theme around the country, even from fans they hate the Pats. I too have gone from someone who couldn't wait for the first pregame show to go on the air, to someone who ONLY watches when the Pats are on, and couldn't care less what is happening in the rest of the league.

At the end of the day, I can go to the internet and check the scores at any of a hundred sites, and that's it. That's all they get from me, and all they ever will.....

That's mostly all I do here lol. Hence the 11 year membership with less than 200 posts!

Same here, Sundays in fall were like holidays, couldn't wait til the pregame shows started and planned my whole Sunday around football, hell my whole plan was football, now it's like any other day off and I'll stop what I'm doing only at game time for the Pats. Don't even watch 5th quarter anymore. Sad that I feel like this but thank Roger.

I used to watch two to three NFL non Pats games per week... for the past twenty years. Because I was so soured by deflategate, I only watched 4 or 5 non Pats games last year and the games I did watch were only so that I wouldn't be non social. That was deliberate. This year, I really have no interest in non Pats games. I watched the second half of the opener between Denver and Carolina and have only watched maybe a total of ten minutes of other games. That's not because I'm trying to make a point like last season, I just don't care about other teams and the overall league anymore. That's not going to change until Goodell is gone and the integrity of the sport has returned.
