Rodney about the smooches

Dare I use the "C" word, but I thought it was disrespectful for Rodney to be jaw-boning with a coach, let alone the HC of an opposing team. Keep it amongst the players.

That said, I got a good laugh when I saw Billick puckering back.

Exactly. Rodney's amazing and talked some jive, as he is apt to do. Billick had a funny response. End of story.

And who said that his play was down? He made a great open-field tackle of McGahee on a crucial play. Maybe two, now that I think about it.

Perhaps you should connect the dots between Billick's blowing kisses behavior and his teams unprofessional meltdown at the of the game. Outside of another coaching punk like Mike Martz there isn't another coach in the NFL who would have reacted that way.

Add Jeff Fisher. Fisher and Billick do not ask what college their player recruits attended, but what gangs they belong to.

The kiss of death. I think that was what billick was trying to imply. Rodney is a safety just like sean taylor, taylor got mixed up in gangs, and died. The patriots undefeated streak was on the line. Bilick just spoke too soon.

I thought it was pretty funny on Billick's part. He gets into banter with opposing players quite often from what I've seen. Apparently he can take it and dish it out.

I'm curious as to what Rodney said in the first place to get the reaction. I'm guessing it was along the lines of:

R: What do you think Polian is doing with Goodell right now?
B: (smooch)
R: What?
B: (smooch)
R: Oh, you're probably right, kissing his a**.
B: (smooch)
R: And that, too!

Rodney said "I just want to kiss you" and Billick responded in kind. What's the harm? I thought it was humurous no matter what Rodney said. Billick is a class act.

On the Brian Billick show televised on MASN (Mid Atlantic Sports Network) the host asked Brian what did Rodney say to prompt the kisses. Brian didn't want to go into much detail, but said that Rodney made a comment directly to him about his quarterback and his team and that he didn't think Rodney was being disrespectful, and it was simply something he just said in the heat of the moment. He also commented later on that Rodney is a very good player.

I think Billick has a pretty good sense of humor and found the exchange quite funny.
