As of now I feel it isn't in the best interest of the Pats. He would be hard to carry and I think with Guy, Flowers, Marsh and the young Wise you have enough for now. I would have to take too many snaps away from Wise.
If someone happens absolutely give him a call but he has been on a downward trend the last 3 years. In 2015 was a step down from 2014, 2016 was a step down from 2015. Probably lost a bit more as he didn't make the team. If he comes back the shorter he is here the better. I think realistically he may only have 8-6 NFL games left in his body and they would be JAG level but at least he won't make a mistake and can take advantage of ones.
