RIP Raymond Berry

Longest losing streak in Patriots history is seven (7) seasons, nowhere near the double digit eternities of most other teams, who also never made it to a title game.

They obviously can't be blamed for Ben Dreith, but they did themselves in by not starting Grogan in XX and not running Martin in XXXI.
The Bears would have torn Grogan apart like a rag doll.
Three (3) bad seasons to start the 70's and 90's, before the arrivals of Fairbanks and Parcells.

Both left due to irreconcilable differences with ownership, but that does not erase all the wins.

Three losing seasons before Vrabel showed up last year.
4 losing seasons - 2020 7 - 9, 2022 8 - 9, 2023 4 - 13, 2024 4 - 13.

2021 10 - 7 was a joke making the post season only to be destroyed in the WC.
I can't think of any team ever that did not have much longer periods of losing and futility than the Patriots.

In every season of the Patriots' existence, there has been at least one player on the active roster who played for them in a league championship game.
