I'm going to go Derick Rivers for surprise stud fell in the draft for not being stout against the run he could be our Von Miller kind of pass rusher and giving BB that kind of weapon on defense is scary.

I watched that excellent 30 min break down of Rivers someone posted and haven't been this excited about a rookie in a long time. Yeah right now he will primarily be a 3rd and long pass rusher but he is also freakishly strong for his size he put up something crazy like 28 reps on the bench press and consistently pushed his guy 3 yards into the back field even on running plays. Its not that he isn't stout it's that he is undisciplined and not great at disengaging. Give him a year maybe two of the great coaching I am sure he'll receive and he could be an All pro. Just needs to refine an inside rip move because right now he ALWAYS relies on his speed outside. The scary part is even when the tackle knew that and completely abandoned the inside with a massive 5 step drop Rivers still beat him to the edge and then bent around it 90 degrees to the QB. That kind of bend is inhuman and I think he will flash with 6-8 sacks this year.

Cut/Trade: Ninkovich is that trade 1 week before the season starts to a team that lost some pass rushers to injury.

IMO it is early to pick a "binky" would prefer to wait until TC at least as would like to see the new folks..

Ninkovich is my surprise cut, lack of speed was obvious in the first part of the SB.. not that he was solely responsible, but he was part of that issue. Dion Lewis is also a strong possibility, as we seem "heavy" at RB..

Get with the times. The Brandon Patriots are the past, the Malcom/Malcolm Patriots are the present.

That's why I added ring toss to the title. Once TC and preseason rolls around more information to go on. Plus it is slow now.

I understand calling for a surprise cut is not easy especially with players who have been our champions, but 53 is a hard and fast number so why I thought to have the binky offset. Roberts/Collins would have perhaps been a better example. Never saw Roberts coming (who was the last LB the Patriots drafted after the 2nd round that made such an impression).
