I love Ridley, but he cannot fumble like that and expect to see carries.

He definitely needs to get his ball security straightened out, and quick. That being said, I still want him getting the ball. I don't know if Green-Ellis is injured or he just went off a cliff, but he has been brutal. He's only had more than 4 yds per carry twice in the last 11 games and is averaging UNDER 3 ypc in that stretch. You just can't keep handing him the ball the way he's playing. Brady can't keep making up for 1 yd runs on 2nd and long.

Give Ridley the Omar Epps treatment. Give him a ball and have guys try to punch it out at every opportunity. Give his wife/GF and friends $1,000 a piece for every time they get the ball out and bring it back to the coaching staff.

Turnovers have done in the Pack, Saints, and Texans.

Ridley has no business seeing the field next week.

Its up to him. The coaching staff here that has shown the ability to coach players on ball security.

BJGE- Never fumbled
LoMo- Was very good at ball security until his last season here.
Faulk- In 1999 and 2000, he averaged a fumble once every 33 touches. From 2001 on he fumbled once every 53 touches.

Especially since BAL finished #2 in forced fumbles with 27

Because he committed a turnover? You would have to bench Brady as well then.

I think the team really misses Vollmer in this regard. Granted, the RB play hasn't been amazing, but a healthy Vollmer pounded people in run blocking.

In the last 6 games that Vollmer has missed, BJGE is averaging 2.5 ypc, Ridley is averaging 5.2 ypc. It ain't Vollmer.

I don't want Ridley carrying the ball against Baltimore. They're #1 in forced fumbles.

In a tight game will be hand the ball to ridley.....its going to be close this weekend .

Huh? It's the playoffs. Too late for that.

Turnovers are part of the game. You play whoever gives you the best chance to succeed. Right now, in between the 20's at least, Ridley has been moving the ball much better than anyone else we have. It's obvious though with Benny getting all the goal line touches that the coaching staff still believes Ridley is a WIP. Both will get there touches.

How many of those fumbles are from strip sacks vs stripping ball carriers? Stripping a QB is quite a bit easier, especially when you get there as often as teams like Baltimore seem to.

People forget he fumbled last time that went out. so he is avg 1 fumble/game of late.

Ina very close game will you hand him the ball knowing he might have his 1 fumble/game.

Yes, because he gives me the best chance to move the ball. It's not like he's flailing the ball around saying hit me. Things happen, Benny is the anomaly, not Ridley.

That said, I will gladly give it to Danny and Benny within the 20.

this is question. he was a fumble at our 20 returned for a TD in a close game in 4th it will be game on here for his head.

No one mentioned but brady talks about all his offensive players who contributed and had a good game and he mentions most except ridley last night. i am sure you and few might argue he did not list all and him just missing ridley aind ocho was non intentional

How would comparing two backs that have played without Vollmer prove or disprove Vollmer's worth to the running game? The dude was road grader last year.

I don't know actual %'s, but I don't think we run it too often from our redzone outside of getting breathing room from the goal line.

I'm not personally worried about Ridley. I don't think it's become a big problem yet, I obviously don't like that he's coughed it up, but he isn't Maroney yet, lets not condemn him just yet.

He has a lot of business being out there if we want to run the ball well.

Ridley has nice up side but he has TREMENDOUS down side with the way he runs...he consistently runs with the ball n his inside arm, perfect for defenders wanting to strip him and doesn't cover up as he lowers his shoulder...and that's WHEN he lowers his shoulder as he has an uncanny ability of running upright.

All recipes for disaster...those are tiny things that can be taught. I think he's a very instinctive runner and has a fantastic future in the NFL, but he has to get these easily coached issues out of his game. Until then LawFirm gets the nod for me.

I think he should get the nod in certain situations but he needs to be a better runner with his technique if he's to warrant more touches in my eyes...he'll either get hurt or cripple us with a turnover.
