As has been the case when a player plays his last year with us, their contributions do not extend past their. By your logic, why haven't we traded everyone on the last year of their contract.

How long would he have helped though, next season too? Life without Seymour was going to begin sooner rather than later and BB got value while it was on the table. Sure his talent and experience in the locker room could help but he would hardly be the saviour.
