RGIII doesn't plan to 'Bill Belichick it' with the media

There's nothing wrong with what he said.
I agree. He didn't insult anyone by saying this. Everyone knows BB doesn't give the media anything and that's what RGIII was referencing. BB himself would tell you he does the same. Just because other teams, players or coaches talk to the media doesn't mean it's the wrong way to do things. BB obviously feels the opposite and runs his ship accordingly.

A lot of talk coming from a second year player. Also, opening his mouth shows how much he respects his coach.

Last years breakout class of QBs (Russell Wilson, Colin Kaepernick, RG3) sure love to talk about themselves. I can't wait for them all to struggle. All this bicep kissing and smirking at the camera reminds me of Young Tony Romo.

I miss it when our old defense used to make hotshots like these guys dazed and confused. Lets hope we can still do that when we get the opportunity to against these dweebs.

I don't get this from Wilson at all, but maybe I missed something.

Not sure why everybody in this thread has their panties in a bunch. If everybody in the league BB'd it following the NFL would be a lot less fun.

I can't say that I understand the outrage here either.

Me, I'm a real fan of the exciting young QBs in the NFL, my man Wilson, RG3, Luck and Knick. Talent like this keeps the NFL as the premier sports entertainment venue. I hope that they have fine 2013 seasons except when they Peyton out in the post season.

ITT over sensitive types who take everything that isn't a verbal fellatio of the Patriots as a supreme insult.

RGIII is awesome, he didn't mean anything negative towards BB by it and was probably smiling when he said it, everyone shut up.

OMG Bulletin board materialz for da 2015 season LOL WTF./

Oh, ladies. Bill Belichick doesn't need everyone defending his honor.

Bend that friggin knee the wrong way again this year RG3 and you won't have to worry about the media

Some people think this guy is so smart...yeah a guy that sends a waitress from Hooters a pic of his **** the day he got married....brilliant

There's nothing wrong with what he said.

Except to turn a man's name into a verb. How would you like it if somebody walked up to you and said, "Give me your money or I'll Deus Irae you!"?

I just tried it at the ATM, and a dead ringer for Steve McQueen gave me sixty bucks and ran screaming into the Price Chopper across the parking lot. Here comes a guy dressed in orange robes that looks like the Dalai Lama...

"Do I stop being who I am and stop being honest with you guys and give you guys ammunition to turn against this team? Or do I just go into a shell and Bill Belichick it all week? But I'm just gonna continue to be who I am."

Once again RG3 worrying more about what other people think and less about just getting healthy and winning football games. This is a culmination of the whole thing with McNabb, and Shanahan. I wonder how much of this is on the Redskins franchise pushing him and making him ultra available to the media seeing how much they invested in him and how much he's elevated them to relevance. Coming from Baylor to the NFL, its not like he's been coached to say the right things.

I don't have any issue with this particular quote. Living in DC, though, the talk shows and many of the local callers are starting to tire of Griffin actively looking to say things to be a media focal point and want him just to shut up now. And his father now too.

That reminds me of this quote "When I use a word," Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone. "It means just what I choose it to mean - neither more or less."

What that means is
he can say whatever he likes, cos he knows what he means

The real issue here is that everyone that represents an organization going in front of microphones and cameras needs to be media or press trained.

What's most important is that you think before you open your mouth and it helps to have prepared your message ahead of time.

What I can say is
I don't think it was disrespectful, but I am sure his coach and the 'skins aren't too happy that he suggested he will continue to speak his mind.

exactly.....

what I take from this is that RGIII has a thing for BB and wants his attention

somebody with the colts should be shot if there was really any thought of this guy over luck

RG3's fatal flaw will be his mouth (and not knowing how to slide properly but I digress....)

I take this as a good sign, a compliment of sorts. It cements Belichick as a BRAND. Belichick is to being hush hush to the media as Kleenex is to facial tissue, as Xerox is to copy machines, and as Sicilian is to poignant analogy trios: You say the proper name, and everyone knows what you're referring to

So if he doesn't "Bill Belichick" it with the media, is he going to "Rex Ryan" it instead?
