I've had a devil of a time finding a clip or even a picture of it, but some folks here might recall that in 2008, the Patriots changed up the way they did kickoffs. Instead of having all the players lined up, ready to charge downfield, IIRC, the Patriots lined up in two rows of five at midfield. As Gostkowski approached the ball, the two groups headed out on their assignments.

At least one person on this board suggested they did it specifically because of Ray Ventrone, who opposing teams were determined to keep away from their return men.

What I'm wondering is this: if, say, Nate Ebner is the ST demon some of us hope he can be, is there some way to "disguise" his presence under the new ST rules (since coverage players can only line up 5 yards behind the LOS, instead of 10 as before)?

I approve of all "Nate Ebner is a boss" threads.
