Now that the first quarter of the season is over I'm wondering what people's predictions are going forward. We have a better idea about our team as well as the teams we are facing.

Here's the schedule remaining and my predictions:

@Bengals - W. Bengals have been disappointing so far.
Saints - L. Peyton/Brees always seem to have our number.
@Jets - W. Geno has looked better than I expected, which is like saying 'prison rape wasn't as horrible as I thought'. Their defense is killer, though, but we'll be healthy and more in sync so I think we notch this win.
Dolphins - W. I haven't been a believer in the Dolphins from the beginning and the Saints just showed how to beat them.
Steelers - W. LMAO.
@Panthers - W. I love #1 but their team isn't ready to beat us.
Broncos - L. It'll be painful as **** but I don't care because we'll get them in the post season.
@Texans - W. Also not a big believer in the Texans.
Browns - W. Hoyer v. Brady will be fun but we'll win.
@Dolphins - W.
@Ravens - W. It won't be close. So much revenge against a team that can't stop a nosebleed all of the sudden.
Bills - W. I like the Bills but this is the annual game where they are out of the playoffs and have no will left.

That being said we'll probably drop a surprise game or 2 and maybe win one of the 2 games I think we should lose. All in all I think 12-4 is the low side and that 13-3 seems like a solid bet if we keep playing like we are playing.

I had our losses @ Atl, @ Cin, vs Saints, vs Denver, @ Baltimore and vs Buffalo in the last game of the season

Obviously wrong about the first one. And now I think they find a way to beat Cincy this week.

Now I think the game in Miami might go the wrong way and I'll stick with the rest of them. 11-5

I had 12-4 with a 4-2 start, losing to Atlanta & New Orleans so now I'll go with 13-3. Losing to New Orleans, Miami and then the annual wtf game so maybe Cleveland.

I started with 19-0 and 1 preseason loss. Seems right on track.

My sig has my prediction, and since I had Atlanta as a loss, I'll revise up to 14-2.

didnt some website have us winning one road game and going 9-7?

i had them losing this week for the first time....

i will revise that....losses to NO & DEN......14-2

Well, I had 11-5 which seems a bit low at this point. I'll keep it there for now as I would love to be proven wrong, in a big way, by the end of the season!

What's the fun if we can revise and change our minds midstream?

The point of a "Pre-season" prediction is just that...to make a prediction before the season starts based on our guesstimates about a whole bunch of unknowns and then see which of us was Lucky Enough or Smart Enough (or, most likely, "Some Combination of Lucky and Smart Enough") to get it right.

For me, a pre-season prediction is all about my "feel" for the team and the season ahead. I never try to predict game-by-game because "stuff happens" and an NFL season is too long and random.

Last year and a couple of years ago, I was "lucky" enough to nail the W number on the head and I think I was off by one W the year before last...so, just sayin' but that approach has worked pretty well for me....

I said 11--5 before the Bills game and I'll say 11--5 now.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it...otherwise, let me change my mind in late December. :singing:

[PS: "Prediction Ranges" are for wimps. ]

We aren't losing to the forehead at home with our complete offense: WE SHALL NOT LET IT HAPPEN!

Based on 1 win against that bad '09 team?

I don't know about Payton but here is Brees's stats in 3 games vs. us:

Record: 3-0
72.31 completion %, 723 yards, 8 TD's, 0 INT's
Rating: 148.3

Last 2 were blowouts.
First 2 were with Charger teams that finished 8-8 and 9-7

Like FNord I have that game pegged as one of the L's for the time being. If Gronk/DA are full strength by then who knows. But I agree with the 13-3 prediction, cannot see it lower than 12-4 barring a Brady injury or a rash of injuries on D. I see us as the 2 seed behind Denver right now but a good shot at #1 if things go well for us.

I don't know about Payton but here is Brees's stats in 3 games vs. us:
Record: 3-0

'02, '05, and '09

'02 was the only Belichick/Brady team to miss the playoffs
'05 Brees got a huge assist from Tomlinson and Turner that game
'09 "I just can't get them to play the way they need to."- Belichick to Brady at the end of that game.

3 of the worst Belichick/Brady teams in terms regular season.
'02- 9-7 missed the playoffs
'05- 10-6 Wild Card team
'09- 10-6 Wild Card team

Those 3 seasons account for 48.7 percent of Brady's 39 regular season losses.

The '08 Matt Cassel Pats went 11-5
The "rebuilding" '10 team went 14-2

I will stick with 12-4 like I said before the season. One of the "L's" has passed already (@ATL) that I factored in.

True, even w/o Wilfork this will probably be our best defense going against him. Still, I can't think of another QB that has anywhere near a perfect rating against BB over multiple games. And as I pointed out Brees's teams were even worse record wise aside from the '09 game yet he's 3-0 with a perfect rating.
