Considering we invested in Demps that would have surprised me..

You mean the guy who has said he doesn't want to make football his primary focus???

from what Adam Schefter is saying the pats dont need to replace Welker no one really wants him at lest not for the money he wants i see him re-signing at 3 years 20 million

Where is Schefter saying this?

Where is Schefter saying this?

he did not post it any where they just talked about it a lil on ESPN all 32 they were talking about how Welker is 32 years old and not many teams dont want to give the big money for him and he will most likely re-sign what the pats

Cribbs hasn't brought a kick back since 2009 and is averaging about 22 yds per return over the last three years. He's almost 30. Don't know of any good returners more than 30 years old. Color me unexcited.

Leon Washington
Devin Hester
Darren Sproles

Just the bottom of barrel types

None of those guys is close to as dangerous as they were in bygone days.

Okay, it hasn't been crap, it's been very below average. You win.

I would say 21.1 and 25th in the league is crappy. Just don't get hurt by it because of the offense the Pats have.

And in 2011 the were 29th with a 21.4 avg. Improved 4 spots but dropped in avg

This could mean the pats called his bluff and might get him for a decent price.

According to FoxSports.com's Alex Marvez, the team [Mod Edit: The Arizona Cardinals Team] is close to signing former Cleveland Brown receiver/return specialist Josh Cribbs as well as former Washington Redskins linebacker Lorenzo Alexander.

According to ESPN.com, Cribbs could stay at the Browns:

UPDATE: Cleveland is still not out of the equation for return specialist Josh Cribbs. The Browns still plan on making one more pitch to Cribbs.

"Now that Cleveland has come to terms with free agent Paul Kruger, sources say they plan to submit a final offer for Cribbs," Aaron Goldhammer of ESPN 850 in Cleveland reported. "However, their proposal is not expected to approach the offers from Arizona or New England."

If Cleveland's offer does come to close to either offer from New England or Arizona, Cribbs will remain with the Browns.

"Cribbs prefers to stay in Cleveland and sources say that he has 'fingers crossed' that the Browns extend a competitive proposal," Goldhammer added.

However, with the way our roster is currently constructed (ie, not a lot in the WR department), the following could persuade him to come here:

Cribbs will eventually sign with the team he feels will also allow him to play wide receiver or serve in some capacity on offense.
