That's about it. It's just weird where as before there weren't all these touchy situations. It's odd.Stevenson

Judon
Those three are safe choices, no?

You're right, it's 47.7 mph. Mac's is at 56.5 mph. Forgot to multiple yards by 3. Oops. Also, that's 21yds air yards in under a second - 15.9 mph doesn't compute. Zappe definitely threw it harder than that.
LOL, I cheated and have this bookmarked:You're right, it's 47.7 mph. Mac's is at 56.5 mph. Forgot to multiple yards by 3. Oops.
Doesn't matter if it's Mac or Bailey - they need to add a playmaker to this offense. Every young QB around the league who is really having success has a top guy. Gotta take advantage of this window $$-wise and add one. Regardless of who ends up under center.or 2) two 1st round picks with Zappe as the starter (with possibly an established veteran QB brought in as the backup).
Judon is another. Marcus Jones. Onwenu.I'll even go on a different tangent. Even coming up with photos to use on social media is a challenge. The hatred of Mac is one where you can't use him. People get mad if you post one of Bill, etc. The only real safe one appears to be Rhamondre, who nobody seems to get mad at. Ran into that quite a bit all season. Not a lot of players fans really love on this team right now like they did in previous seasons.
Marcus Jones didn't become somebody anyone cared about until midseason, but I agree with you. Just didn't have anybody really from week three in that middle area where all of a sudden it became an issue (or I guess Week 6 or 7 after the Bears game - Zappe was obviously popular while he was playing) And I love Onwenu - but most casual fans don't care about offensive linemen unless they're playing poorly.Judon is another. I just hate Tavai.
So you're saying Zappe's velocity is 16% slower than Macs?
But they aren't the same type of conditions. You can't draw conclusions based on distance alone if one is to lead a wide open receiver to get YAC and the other is to a receiver that's about to get tackled by an oncoming DB. The crow hop may just be to make sure the throw was accurate enough to lead him. Anyway, your mind is made up, so moving on.The argument had to do with arm strength, not the release time. So it's based on the time and distance from the release to the time it reaches the receiver. Two throws, Mac's is 20yds, Zappe's is 21 (both air yards). Mac threw his flat-footed, Zappe had to crow-hop and gun it. It was basically for all the people that said Mac had a weaker arm. It just isn't the case, at least right now.
Again, as I said in another post, that could change over the offseason as Mac has a year on Zappe in terms of strength/conditioning, etc.
He's got a weird release too, which I didn't notice before I did this. Arm angle is a little off which explains the batted balls. Guessing he'll benefit quite a bit just like Mac did from working with somebody there. If you take some time to examine Zappe's delivery he often appears to aim and heave the ball with all his might, no "snap" to his arm motion. That's not a knock on the role he provided but doesn't suggest starter potential either, specifically regarding arm strength. He needs to get stronger overall and hopefully will make strides this offseason.

LOL, stop, he reels back and fires it - I'm only basing it on what I'm seeing and to be honest with you, I had to dig through a ton of plays to find one of that distance where he really put any effort into it. Not a lot of long "gotta have it" throws from what I could find. But they aren't the same type of conditions. My bigger issue at this point are the people rooting for the guy to fail. Instead of talking about the positives he had from the game, they zero in on whatever moment it wasn't perfect. It was like the people who killed him for completing a 20+ yd throw to Henry because the ball fluttered on the way after he got hit as he was releasing it. Not happy with the completion, they were instead mad about the style points. That's really the more maddening thing. And I don't think I'll ever understand why people sit there always waiting - and seemingly hoping - for the other shoe to drop. But dieing on the hill of zappe good, Mac bad must go is a strange hill to die on at this point.
That’s was way different. Brady at least won the Super BowlI'm getting Brady/Bledsoe vibes all over again. Ahhhh, the good ole days

Both players, even at that time, are lightyears better than Mac or Zappe. That’s was way different. Brady at least won the Super Bowl
True but the discussions were intense like this. That’s was way different. Brady at least won the Super Bowl
Who has Lamar ever had? Not much at WR. Andrews is a very good TE but he's no Kelce.Doesn't matter if it's Mac or Bailey - they need to add a playmaker to this offense.
