Report: Jamie Collins retiring

Solid career in the grand scheme, but still feels like a bit of a what-if when thinking about had he pieced it all together more consistently.

Either way, will always be memorable thinking of him jump over both lines to block kicks and make athletic plays.

Just say away from the Patriots no more room in the Inn for former Patriots players masquerading as Coaches.

There are many unique things about how Collins’ career played out, but I think the craziest of all is that the Patriots only paid $6.5M of his $54M career earnings, about 12%. He made over $1M per game average for the Lions and Browns, but only about $82k per game average with the Patriots.

Happy retirement to him. A very solid career but it could have been HOF worthy if he could have improved his game inbetween the ears. I'll always remember watching him up close against the Chargers in 2014 on SNF. It felt like he singled handedly took over the game.

He was pretty quick years several years ago.

One of my favorites. He was great specifically against the Colts it felt like.

Him at his peak performance was something special. One of my favorite players to watch, even if the consistency was not always there.

I know we could go over the « what ifs » but I always liked Collins. The « who do we keep » was well played by BB. HT was the one to roll with between he, Collins, Butler, C Jones…

But when I look back at the second half of the NE dynasty, Collins is amongst the defenders that made it all happen.

I didn’t know he played that long
