It's a news story, not football related. This site has other forums created specifically for that. I watched the story as it developed on the news today, and I come here to escape the "real world" for a precious few moments. It doesn't belong in this forum.

Yet, you chose to click on this thread a second time. Go figure.

When was that picture taken?

Thoughts and prayers out to their families. Firefighters are really underappreciated for what they do.

Statement from the guy who snapped the photo

I am catching lots of heat, and agree that a photo I snapped today of Tom Brady watching the tragic #Boston fire that claimed two firefighters lives, should NOT overshadow the tragic circumstances of today. Two Boston firefighters perished today. I was told of the proximity to Brady’s house by our news desk. I already knew he lived there. I looked up and he was there. I made a news photo, doing what I was told. Brady looked very concerned and upset for the firefighters as he was peering down at his neighbors house. I DON’T want this to overshadow what happened there today. :-(

Not sure where to put this by Mods feel free to move if not in proper spot.

IMHO, Patsrock, this is the proper spot.

There is nothing more humbling than to see a selfless human being risk his/her own life for another. Those firefighters are the glue to civilization.

Deepest prayers go out to those killed and injured, and to their loved ones.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady sends condolences to Boston Fire Department - News Local Massachusetts - Boston.com

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady took to Facebook Wednesday night to express his condolences after two Boston firefighters were killed in a 9-alarm fire at 298 Beacon St., not far from where he and wife Gisele Bundchen once lived.

Brady said on Facebook:

On behalf of my entire family, I want to extend my deepest sympathies and condolences to the Boston Fire Department and the families of our brave and selfless firefighters who gave their lives for our protection and safety today, and to the entire firefighting community who protect us each and every day. All of you will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Brady and Bundchen used to live at 310 Beacon St. Theysold that luxury condominium for $9.2 million in 2012. The couple are currently working on completing construction on a Brookline residence.

Brady was in the neighborhood today and may still be renting locally while he awaits completion of the Brookline home. Photographs from the Boston Globe (above) and the Boston Herald showed Brady watching as firefighters battled today’s blaze.

Thoughts and Prayers go out to the family of those FF's.

My stepdad was a Fire Lieutenant and was dedicated to helping others for most of his adult life.

One of the most underappreciated and most dangerous professions you can be in.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of of those firefighters.

I'd like to say I'm surprised that somebody 1-starred this thread.

I'd like to say that.

I'd like to say I'm surprised that somebody 1-starred this thread.

I'd like to say that.

The thread shouldn't have been given any stars. Either way, it's shameful since you shouldn't five star a thread about firefighters that lost their lives in the line of duty.

That said, my thoughts are with the families of the firefighters.
