It's easy, and only takes a few moments. Two reasons why the Pats were able to own the Colts was because they had great assistants like Weiss and Crennel. All BB had to worry about was coaching his own players. Because of the high turnover of coaches, BB is constantly trying to get his assistants on the same page.
The other reason, they had better players on defense. The defense has absolutely nobody that can get after the QB.
The Colts flat out own the Pats.
no passrush if you cant get in payton's face i dont care who you got at corner he will beat you
You think the role reversal may have something to do with the NFL' s scheduling formula??? Let's see, we used to beat them, now we don't....we used to play them at home every year, now we always play in Indy. Guys, the homefield means one or two favorable calls per game, and an enhanced pass rush - that's enough to tip the balance to the home team when the teams are evenly matched. Some years there's such a gap in talent that it doesn't matter, like when they came in to Foxboro and destroyed us in the Earthwind Moreland period, or in 2007. But generally, the home field is the deciding factor in these games. I think we can beat them in the playoffs, but to be honest, I'd rather see SD take care of them again.
Were any of you paying attention? We had GREAT pressure on Manning in the first half. We fell apart in the second half, as I've said in other threads, because we were missing four subs by that point, which is why our dline was so gassed in the 4th quarter.Look at the DL the Pats had tonight...I dont think you can expect them to get after Manning, and if you blitz Manning eats you alive. I thought the defense played well for the most part.
Maybe if you knew something about the NFL scheduling you would understand that homr games are determined by last years records. Go read up before you gripe about something you have no clue about. Good game PATS fans you should have beat us but we'll take it!!!!!!!!
They have now beaten us five of the last six meetings.
Really, I don't even think it is a Peyton vs. Brady thing. It's Peyton vs. Belichick and Peyton has been making him out-think himself. I really don't even know why the Colts have a head coach.
