i considered adding this to the Market for Bennett? thread but thought it deserved a thread of its own.

i ran across this post after seeing it re-tweeted on bennett's twitter feed. i liked him before, but my opinion of him just went up ten-fold.

the post is 11 months old, but it's great because it's a first-person account by a dad whose son's 5th grade football team just went through a winless season. he managed to call in some favors to get martellus bennett to meet the team, for what he thought would be a 15-minute session with a pep talk and some pictures. bennett ends up staying for three hours, talking to the kids about life, and then after the kids ran off to play, talking to the parents. and this was on a thursday during the season.

the dad posted some pictures from the event as well:

anyway, i thought it was a nice unfiltered look at what bennett is really like.
