So we could of got bryant for a 3 million cap hit in 2014?

I'm sure we could have signed him but what were we going to do with him? Our LDE is a Leo who plays a seven or nine technique. Bryant excels in the five technique. Were you planning to use him at the three or one technique? He lacks the upper body strength to play one technique and is not much of a penetrator so he would be less than ideal at the three technique.

In 2011 we ran the 4-3 under with Deaderick and Ellis at LDE, that is why we had interest in Bryant, he was an upgrade over them. He would not work in our current scheme and there are better interior defensive tackles on the market and in the draft that would be better fits for our current scheme.
