1996 Big XII Championship game
Texas is up 3 at their own 28 with just over 2:30 left
They went for it on 4th and inches...and got it
Reaction afterwards:
"What a call by Mackovich!!!"
"You deserve to win the football game with guts like that"
this is what mainstream media dunces like Peter King would be saying if we made it, and is a good example of why they are all are all fools. they are writers, not analysts, and for good reason.
they take results and create storylines from them, but they are generally horrible at any sort of real analysis. this is why all of them hate the decision for BB to go for it - b/c it failed this time around. but if it works they all hail him a genius. I think most posters here think along the same lines - take the result then decide if it was good strategically or not.
