Re-sign both Branch & Ayers?

i think we should. both were good pick ups. ayers tackle on lynch was huge. branch helps our run D. how much these guys worth and if we don't pick these guys up, who are we going to go after?

The answer to your second question is "nobody". Ayers and Branch were in-season replacements for injured players.

So, sure, I'd like to see them stay. However, there is no reason to believe that we will "go after" someone to replace these backups.

I'd like to see both of them re-signed at reasonable contracts. I was impressed with Ayers level of play especially after he wasn't even seeing the field for the Titans.

I like them both. Ayers provides depth at a couple different spots. He has substantial talent. Not sure he'll get the playing time here that he wants.

Branch represents good depth on the line. Can never have too few big fat guys.

If the Patriots can keep them at a reasonable cost then I am all for re-signing both.

I think Ayers versatility can prove to be very valuable in the future. I would like Branch back as well, but I feel as though he is more replaceable than Ayers.

ehhh, only if they have room after resigning Revis, Gost and McCourty

I am extremely happy now, but I can see that I am going to be annoyed seeing talented rookies not make our squad because we are stacked. It seems like we can afford to bring back almost everyone, but what about the draft? Just imagine if BB continues to trade down.

I'd sign Ayers, if I can get him for reasonable money. His talent may get him paid more elsewhere, however. If Branch will play for a vet minimum, I'd sign him. Otherwise, I'd look to the first round of the draft, as the Pats need to prepare for the post-Vince era. They can sign a large 30-something DT when Vince is gone. (Of course, if that's March 10, then obviously Branch needs to be signed, but that will improve his bargaining position.)
