RB Christine Michael available, released by Seahawks

The question is, what happens if Blount gets hurt ?

White ? No.
Lewis ? Probably can't handle it.
Foster ? No.
Gaffney ? That's what we'd have.

Again, I don't think we're doing this but if Blount gets hurt we're probably looking at 10-12 legit running plays a game the rest of the way. Or Gaffney.

And what makes you think Michael would, in any way, be an improvement? As previously noted, he just got cut by a team starved of RB's. Hopefully Blount doesn't get injured but, if he does, then the decision not to draft one gets amplified. I wanted Prosise bad pre-draft. I thought he would have been the perfect fit in this offense. Then, on Sunday night, I basically got to watch him have his way with this defense.

Is Terrence Knighton available ? Adding him would put another big body on the D-line.

They aren't really starved for RB, they have Prosise coming on and Rawls returning. I like Michael as a runner, certainly better than anything we have other than Blount (and a healthy Lewis).

As for Prosise, yeah, he and David Johnson seemed (pre draft) like perfect Patriots and we didn't bite.

No room for him in this backfield

Blount and White are both free agents
White and Blount both more than likely will go for more money elsewhere.
Blount is having a heck of a year he might of priced himself out of the Patriots price point.
I expect the Colts and Ravens to knock on Blounts door.

White is not a FA of any sort next year.

Michael sucks. He's literally never been able to stick with anyone. He got his chance when the Seahawks faced running back apocalypse this year and it's pretty clear they prefer Prosise and Rawls; he was replaced with a UDFA who plays special teams. Why would the Patriots cut one of their best special teamers and replace him with a guy who doesn't play special teams and isn't a good enough running back to stick anywhere?

Lots of Patriots fans get attached to these running back names because of fantasy football. Christine Michael, Knile Davis. Read the tea leaves. These guys all suck.

Let Blount go to the Steelers for like 13 games and then bring him back to win a superbowl.

Claimed by the Packers.

No thanks. He's... not good

I'm not trying to be a total ****, here, but Bolden is one of those guys I consider a good litmus test on how much credence I should give your opinion. His contributions on STs alone make him significantly more valuable to us than Michael ever will be.

Same for people who had us cutting White or King.

Or Edelman a few years back.

Or Edelman a few years back.

I think the predictions of Edelman being cut were primarily forum backlash against the legions of us who had a Bam Childress-esque perpetual hard on for Julian.

Agreed, Bolden being a mediocre all around back is just a bonus to his special team play.

Fantasy football seems to have become a substance abuse issue, corrupting perspective and judgment and eating up people's lifestyles.

I'd like to have a message Board where the members all pledge to spend no more than 20 minutes a week on fantasy football, just to keep it from creeping in and distorting reality. Even that is the equivalent of 10 days out of an adult life. It seems that thousands of people are spending 10 times that - two or three hours a week. Is that something anyone can look back on their life with approval? "I spent half a year of my life playing a fantasy sports game!"

I'm glad we didn't get him, his name is Christine for Christ's sake.
Christine was Christ's real name. Christ was short for Christine.
