Ancient NFL history: In 1970, the LA Rams fired their most successful coach in history - George Allen (at least in winning percentage.) He would go to Washington and hire lots of veterans: "The future is now." Many of those players he knew in LA. Hence, they were known as "Ramskins"

Or you know - the more likely scenario - Josh and Matt told the Rams to GTFO.

Even though you seem to think that coordinators need to jump on any opening, I see no reason for them to take crap jobs like the Rams or 49ers unless their ownership gives you exactly what you want so you have a chance at changing their entire culture.

Both will be on top of next year's coaches search list again. If you are a coordinator at a perennial winner there is no window for you to accept other positions.

Damn, he's young. He's my age. He did coach Cousins who has become a halfway decent quarterback but it's hard to tell how much he had to do with that as he was the tight ends coach before becoming OC.
