I’d bet anything whoever raiders hire is a one and done coach

Davis would do anything Brady wants. I just don’t see Vrabel accepting to go there.

Brady is just a poster boy. he isn’t in the day to day of the franchise. Mark Davis is. Vrabel would report to Mark Davis not Brady.

I also think that Vrabel has a closer relationship with the Krafts than Brady. To me if he had to choose he would take the Krafts over Brady.

But we will see.
Plus Vrabel had 3 things he wanted from a team to be HC
One was a QB you can win with
One was clear communication with ownership
One was that there is a structure in place where players, personel and X’s and O’s are aligned with his view for the team

I do believe we are far superior in all 3 of those categories

I think Vrabel will be the next HC of the Raiders. We're looking at Johnson or Flores now.

Edit: I'm getting "I don't agree" emojis and I want that. Give me the dislikes, etc and someone tell me how I'm wrong...because I don't want to be right.

The Tom Brady Reason Why Raiders Could Hire Mike Vrabel After Firing Antonio Pierce

Mark Davis is a better owner than Woody Johnson.

It’s all about the haircut…

How many Head Coaches is Mark Davis paying at the same time at this point? I am pretty sure Gruden and McDaniels' contracts are both still active for several more years, and now he will have Pierce's deal on the books too, plus whoever he hires next... paying at least 4 HCs at the same time

How the fck do these coaches get fired and still get paid? I know they have contracts…but wtfh.

Definitely not. The Raiders have a much better location, way more cap space, and an equal QB situation (as in, they don't have one). The Raiders have a slightly lower draft pick, but not that much. Mark Davis is a better owner than Woody Johnson. And the Raiders have 100% less Jete Stank.

Davis is only better because he doesn't have any teenage kids to tell him the Madden ratings of the players the Raiders are considering acquiring.

I am not even going to the article.

Few reasons I can think of

1. No QB
2. Toughest AFC division
3. 14 coaches in 22 years
4. Owner who is not super rich and is considered a bit of cheapo
4a. Still paying off gruden, McDaniels and Pierce . Not sure how much money he can pay to Vrabel who will command 15 million plus .
5. At least a 3 year cycle to rebuild
6. No draft assets to draft a QB that too in a weak QB class.

All they have is 110 million in cap space . Nothing else. Without a QB no big name Free agent is gonna go there. Same situation as pats last year. At least we have maye now .

Vrabel is going to go to pats/ bears or jags . Book it !

They have the 6th pick in the draft

Brady has $

Brady has $, even if it's under the table
5. At least a 3 year cycle to rebuild
Unlike the Pats?

They have $110 in cap space?! Crap....that's a lot.

I don’t at all!

Brady isn’t running this franchise Mark Davis is and he is a clown. Don’t see Vrabel going to work for him. Reason it fell apart for Vrabel in Tennessee is mostly due to his relationship with the owner.

Vrabel has explicitly stated that being in lockstep with the owner is a top priority.

I never have liked this Brady-Raiders thing, it just seems odd. If Brady proves instrumental in luring Vrabel to Vegas it'll take some polish off his "I'm a Patriot for life" pledge last year, AFAIC. And if that happens, I figure Brian Flores would be on the Pats' radar.

Honestly I don’t think he’s that bad. He’s not like a top 10 owner but he’s also not one of those owners who’s going to tighten the purse strings all the time on you or play politics. He’s a pretty straight shooter. You could do worse.

Just playing devils advocate

also as I previously stated but worth repeating

I just wish Tom would stay as window dressing like the old school HoFers did. I don't like how he's shoving his face into everything now. Him becoming an owner - of the Raiders no less - is not going to bode well for his iconic potential as the GOAT.

I could absolutely see him pulling his celebrity weight to steal Vrabel. But Mark Davis is a clown. And Tom better not get too cozy in that franchise or it could soil his overall NFL legacy.

It's true - Raiders are not alluring to any serious HC ready to win.
They'll have to get a college guy looking to climb the ladder.
Or a long-time coord that wants to jump to the big chair for experience.
Whoever it is, they won't last long.
