Re: Quick Post Game Thoughts

I know its hard to cover Jackson but I thought McCourty was supposed a shutdown corner. Last year Pats fans were saying he was the third best corner in the league. I don't see Revis or Asomugha having that performance. As I don't see Brandon Flowers, Talib, Samuel or Hall having it either.

Remove Hall from that list...most overrated CB in the nfl.

Re: Quick Post Game Thoughts

- Finally, Walt Anderson's crew sux criminally bad. I hope I never, ever see them again, for Brady's sake.

A suggestion for the Competition committee.

In addition to the RED FLAG challenge; the coaches should get one BLACK FLAG challenge per season and another for the playoffs.

If they throw the flag onto the field at anytime DURING THE GAME (just for the sake of - we get to see it); the NFL will forbid that referee team from working another game with that football team in it for the rest of the year.

Re: Quick Post Game Thoughts

As Everlong noted, I also expected/hoped for a pooch punt. Going for the 1st down was foolish,
esp. given the ease at which SD was moving the ball. But once again Lady Luck spread her legs,
and the defense was given another turnover.

I don't think it was foolish; was a calculated judgement and going by BB's tendancies it could be expected.

What does he VALUE MOST???? --- A: ball control.

What situation has more ball control: Leaving ball in hands of your best player who has about a 75% conversion rate on 3rd and less than 5

OR

Have the ball SNAPPED to a brand new guy who ONLY GETS A CHANCE TO PRACTICE on the sidelines at the same time that the other team KNOWS THAT YOU HAVE A NEW GUY THERE and is going to likely give it an all out PUNT BLITZ / STUNT PACKAGE saved up for occaisions just like this.

remember this new guy touching the ball is standing out there on his own 45 yard line WITH NO ONE BEHIND HIM if he drops the ball to cover it or stop the block-6 runback.

From that perspective; BB is going to go for it at that down-distance every time.
