Does anyone know in NE History who was the very 1st draft pick by the Patriots that lasted the longest holdout in a contract dispute during his first season and when he finally signed or could not come to terms and released? - and preferably the longest holdout during the Kraft era in particular but not specifically...
 
I'm pretty sure it was Ben Watson. Don't remember the exact dates but I think he missed a couple exhibition games with his holdout.
 
I think Hoodie has it right with Watson. Longest I remember was Phil Olsen back in the 70's (Merlin's younger brother).
