On the NFL Network draft show they talked about that for a while. Joel Klatt spoke about it and how now that he’s slid teams won’t want to pick a backup that will bring that much unwanted attention.Watching the talking heads at the NFL Network dance around the issue of why he wasn’t drafted yet was a sight to see. Not one of them was willing to talk about Shadeur’s arrogance, or teams not wanting to deal with Dionne. ( Sanders, not Warwick)
And speaking of the talking heads, once again they did an absolutely ****ty job of covering Day 2. They spent all their time on feel good stories, and talking about things like Shadeur, and almost no time following it pick by pick, or covering the trades until a half hour after they were made. I’m sure today will be even worse.
Eh Eisen may have some personal bias he worked with Deion for over a decade so I'm sure they're boys.Rich Eisen just can’t seem to handle the fact that Sanders has brought this on himself, and he’s blaming the league for not wanting him. I think it’s Joel Klatt who is saying that he needs to learn some humility and Eisen simply won’t hear of it. Really disappointing, as Eisen is always been someone I had some respect for, but this is ********.
Yeah I enjoyed it too but I'm slowly wanting to root for him now lolOnce again it occurs to me I may not be the best person but my amusement in seeing Shade Tree and Big Daddy Deion getting so publicly de-panted goes well past schadenfreude

Tiki Barber brought up an interesting theory about NIL effecting the player perceptions. His theory is now you have kids coming in already rich and they don’t feel the need to grind and prove themselves.I think there are two issues working together. Sanders doesn't have the combination of talent and attitude for a team to put its future squarely in his hands. And once you pass on him as a franchise cornerstone, he's too much of a distraction to want as a backup.
It's kind of a warped version of the Colin Kaepernick story. Obviously, the individuals and issues involved couldn't be more different. But both were passed over for backup jobs in favor of lesser talent, because no team wants a media circus around its BACKUP quarterback.
Worse yet, rather than Sanders becoming a value pick like most players as he slides, he's gaining momentum as a distraction.

Yes, I think it's exactly this. QB-needy teams don't see him as a potential starter and he has far too much baggage for teams to consider taking him on as a developmental project in the early rounds of the draft. The risk is far too high that if his father or him are not happy with his role that you have a huge media circus and controversy around.I think there are two issues working together. Holy carp! Where did he get the time and skills to build that? He must have an incredible work ethic. The narcissistic ahole actually built this...
The problem is there doesn't seem to be anyone in his life to speak truthfully to him with brutal honestly of what has happened and why.If I thought that it was just Dionne that caused his drop I would be rooting for Shadeur, but he seems incapable of humility, which is exactly what he needs right now. Teams.aren’t bringing him in because they feel he will be disruptive to their QB rooms, and he needs to personally get in touch with teams and assure them that he understands the situation, and that he will be a model back up and earn his playing time.

It's sad that Deion (seemingly) isn't that person. He isn't doing his son any favors but pumping his tires and giving him a false sense of worth.

If you find yourself starting to slide towards empathy just give his would be throne room another look and that feeling should melt away PDQ
