Pundit mock drafts 2026 [maybe with FAILs]

1.31 LB CJ Allen, Georgia
2.63 EDGE Romello Height, Texas Tech
3.95 WR Bryce Lance, North Dakota State
4.125 TE John Michael Gyllenborg, Wyoming
4.131 OT Kage Casey, Boise State
5.171 DT David Gusta, Kentucky

More importantly, here's who he passed up:

31. Kayden McDonald, Caleb Lomu
63. Gabe Jacas, Zion Young, Jake Golday
95. Chris Bell, Ted Hurst
125. VJ Payne, Zakee Wheatley
131. Travis Burke, Devin Moore

And Bell and Hurst both going in the 4th?
That seems completely unrealistic.

Sayre Bedinger 4 round mock:

For the Pats:

31. Max Iheanachor
63. Derrick Moore
96. Bryce Lance
125. Chris McClellan
131. Billy Schraith

Dani Dennis-Sutton and Jake Golday are both on the board at 63.

My prefetence:

31. Iheanachor
63. Treydan Stukes
98. Keyron Crawford
*** Trade 125 and 171 to move up to around 113
113. Sam Roush
131. De'Zhaun Stribling

Giardi did his first mock today. He had Monroe Freeling not picked by anyone in the first.

If Freeling is there at 31 you RUN, not walk to the podium and pick him.
What are your views on Micah Morris?

6th round or later I LOVE him as a prospect. Ironically reminds me a lot of Onwenu with more mean in him…but he also has the lateral movement deficiencies. Super powerful guy.
Thanks. That's pretty much how I see him. I like everything about him aside from the fact he's stiff. Has given up zero career sacks which is a stat I love.

I love Morris. Probably my favorite IOL in this draft, even though others are further along. Big, physical, nasty, highly athletic. Just what a starting RG for the Pats should be. 0 sacks allowed. He is a bit stiff, but he has the agility to play in a modified zone scheme, combined with the power to play in a power scheme.

Anytime day 3 would not leave me disappointed, though I have him earmarked with one of our 6ths.

PFF Mock:

I could live with Jake Golday at 31 if the top OTs are off the board. A Mike Vrabel kind of guy who would solve issues at both LB and EDGE. I have him graded higher than Young, Jacas or Lawrence.

This guy posts enough on reddit that I'm willing to classify him as a "pundit." In any case, this trade is a true FAIL.

1.31 EDGE Zion Young, Missouri
2.63 OT Caleb Tiernan, Northwestern
3.95 WR Deion Burks, Oklahoma
4.125 S VJ Payne, Kansas State
4.131 TE Jack Endries, Texas
5.171 DT Landon Robinson, Navy
6.191 LB Justin Jefferson, Alabama
6.198 IOL Ar'maj Reed-Adams, Texas A&M
6.202 RB Adam Randall, Clemson
6.212 QB Luke Altmeyer, Illinois
7.247 EDGE Quintayvious Hutchins, Boston College

Keagan Stiefel's 3rd attempt. His stated goal is to get as many of "his guys" as possible.

TRADE: NE trades 1.31 for 2.41 and 3.72
2.41 EDGE Gabe Jacas, Illinois
2.63 TE Max Klare, Ohio State [see blurb below]
3.72 LB Kyle Louis, Pittsburgh
3.95 IOL Jake Slaughter, Florida
TRADE: NE receives 4.108 for 4.131, 6.191, and 6.212
4.108 RB Emmett Johnson, Nebraska
4.125 OT Markel Bell, Miami
5.171 EDGE Nadame Tucker, Western Michigan
TRADE: NE receives 6.181 for 6.198, 7.247, and 2027 7
6.181 DL Landon Robinson, Navy
6.202 QB Sawyer Robertson, Baylor

On Klare: Klare doesn't have the athletic upside as guys like Oregon's Kenyon Sadiq or Notre Dame's Eli Raridon, the floor of can't-miss options like Texas' Jack Endries or Vanderbilt's Eli Stowers, or the versatility of NC State's Justin Joly or Georgia's Oscar Delp, but he's a damn good player! [Huh? This sounds like a review from certain posters on this board. . . .]

New England needs the kind of guy who can immediately compete for reps with Julian Hill while also serving as a long-term option to replace Hunter Henry. Klare can do just that, folks.

"His players" aren't mine, for the most part.

Give me Burke instead of Bell and a guard instead of a center and I could live with that.

I was thinking Zuhn instead of Slaughter (C only). Or Trost. It's a bit early for either but their positional flexibility is a trade off. Or take both somehow.
