anyone who predicted Crable to the PS should win a stuffed binkie for the predictions, Maybe Vince Redd will be next.

Crable can play - he just has some weird injury and the Pats will not say. Like a knee micro-fracture or something. Maybe it will work out - if the Pats had disclosed his injury maybe another team would have picked him up. But I can not believe Crable's agent wasn't out there whispering in some GM's ear. Who knows?

I'm pretty sure Gutierrez spent a full season on the active roster. I do not think that being a gameday inactive matters
Being a gameday inactive DOES matter. Being gameday active for 9 or more games in one season disqualifies you. Fewer than that and you are eligible unless you've been on the PS three (or two in some cases) seasons previously.

Have been on the practice squad with a particular team no more than 2 prior seasons unless the team never had their active roster go below 53 players during the two years the player served on the practice squad. If that is the case, the player is eligible for a third practice squad season.
