I think it's important to say that a lot of the opinions I give here and through other media are largely based on the information and knowledge others post here. I'm very appreciative of the work and insight others provide that has taught me a bunch about the tendencies of the team and aggregate some really high-level scouting. Box and Patchick have forgotten more about that stuff than I'll ever know.

I really like Aldon Smith, I also really like Houston. I'm torn between the two prospects. I feel like Smith does better for the eye test on moving in space, but Houstons numbers indicate he is better at it.

Maybe Bill will prove me wrong but Smith has about 1.75 years of college football and would be changing positions. Plus Tom Condon is his agent. I would be intrigued, yet stunned, if we took him.

Me too. As raw as he is though, there is no denying his explosiveness. He could be one of the best players in this draft. I've seen him mentioned with the likes of J Kearse. Could be a complete and total bust too. We'll see what BB thinks next month.

I've heard conflicting reports on that. Some say Aldon is repped by Ben Dogra, who like Condon, works for CAA. If Condon isn't the one who does the actual negotiating, then it should be fine, I assume.
