I don't begrudge Gronk or any NFL Player/Entertainer making whatever money they can, any (legal) way they can, during notoriously brief careers playing a violent and dangerous game...but it would be nice if Gronk could play more than four games in a row without having to sit...come to think of it, maybe that's why he focuses so intently on his off-field earnings...he knows it's just a matter of time before it's "one injury too many." Good for him for having the foresight to prepare for the future and that of his eventual family in this way. More power to him.
A sad case in point is OBJ. Personally, I think he's a world class ***, but he's incredibly talented. Sunday's injury has the NY press saying that he may never play at the same level again...but he never got the long term, nine figure contract his talents deserve...still, he set himself up to earn more from Nike than from the Giants.
