Predict the Score Contest, Week 2 Patriots @ Jets

Pats: 21
Jets: 13

Pats 24, Jets 21. Noodle connects three times, LoMo and Dillon each take one in, and Ben Watson scores a third. Gost goes 1 for 1 in the closing moments, no snowstorm, but from 40+ yards.

Defensively, there is wailing and gnashing of teeth as noodle-arm, well aware that the Jets' backs are going nowhere, goes on a noodle-rampage, hitting Coles for 2 TDs and someone -- in short yardage -- for a third. The short yardage situation results from a costly turnover in the Pat's half of the field.

Please, still watch the game to verify these predictions.

Personnel matchups favor Pats well in this one. Especially if Jackson plays. He has the tools to demand double coverage if healthy. On a three wide set, that leaves either Ben or Kevin in single on a LB. Read mismatch. If the Jets single up on Jackson, have him run posts all day and hit him high and deep. Game over.

Brady throws better, Backs run all over the D. Jets score on Asante

Jets 17, Patriots 13. (I hope I'm wrong, but the Branch hangover combined with the Jets home opener equals a bad loss).

If I thought the new love pennington was getting was truly deserved I'd spot them another 7.
