Game is close but the Pats small ball offense stalls too frequently without Edelman or Amendola. Houston's pass rush prevents Brady from taking good shots downfield and they limit Gronk with double coverage. Houston gets a late FG to put the game away after the Pats turn the ball over on downs

In the last couple of years BB has treated the opening few weeks of the regular season like and extension of pre-season. He works on the best groupings on offense and defense, so its hard for me to take the pats over the texans in houston.
So i'm going with ..... houston 24-pats 20. But I also have sucked at predicting the score over the years, so i doubt i'm right, or even close.

So many folks on hotsportztakez radio repeat the mantra that "the Patriots are 'slow starters'"...I also felt that way. I thought they sucked the first month of the season...well, I looked into it...we are wrong, at least record-wise...since 2009 the Pats are 7-2 in season openers and are 26-10 in their first 4 games since 2009...if you add 08 and 07 the record is even better but I didn't feel like going back that far. While all the games may not be Picasso-esque victories, they still have managed to get it done...

Still not going to change my Houston pick for Sunday though...
