Hmmmmmm well if we can't get the Lions Offense off the field it will be a very long afternoon.

Are we taking into account the opponent? Detroit hasn't had a double digit win season since 2014. They're well on their way to their 5th straight last place finish in their division. Their head coach is Dan Campbell. Statistically the worst defense in the in the NFL, can't stop anything, run or pass. Harris and Stevenson should eat them alive. Zappe's priority will be don't screw it up. Goff is probably having nightmares of SB 53. Please give me a reason why Detroit will win this game... I can't think of one.
Boy I miss Big Bruce he made those lean years palatable he was a very good player not many DE's got by him.
What does it matter if he has skinny legs? Do you point that out because you think he’s not strong? Or do you point it out because you think it makes him injury prone?Yep; BoneyT's legs make Shawn Crable's look like Schwarzenegger"s from the Twins movie in comparison.
Didn't realize that recovering from a shoulder injury precluded one from working on thighs & calves...
It looks like it will be Zappe again, unless Mac can miraculously heal by Sunday:

Pickens missed a lot more games with injuries than Thornton in college but he’s who the anti Thornton people wanted at that pick.
As to them being an indication he’s not strong.
Pats SHOULD win this game by just over one score, however...Are we taking into account the opponent? Detroit hasn't had a double digit win season since 2014. You didn’t watch football in the 90s but a famous coach once said “you are what your record says you are”They have already won a game this year, played Philly the closest to any team they have played so far and in the league now, everyone is so evenly matched that a bounce of the ball here or there, a turnover here or there is the difference between a win or a loss. Not sure if you watch every Pat game, but just look at this year's games. We could easily be 4-0, but we're 1-3....so close, but yet so far.
That’s completely fair. I just am not here for “Thornton sucks because he has skinny legs”, unless someone can point out why him having skinny legs hurts him. I think it’s way more reasonable to like Pickens more because he runs better routes or is better at contested catches but the skinny legs thing is bs imo.Alright still would have preferred the George Pickens pick though I think he's going to be the better Pro.
I think the Lions will play Ten in Box Running won't be easy I would make Zappe beat me if I was the Lions HC.
Nick, you are right my friend. My dad always says that as well. lolYou didn’t watch football in the 90s but a famous coach once said “you are what your record says you are”
Your dad is a smart guy.Nick, you are right my friend. My dad always says that as well. lol
Hopefully, some of the breaks that have gone against us will start going our way. I want to get on that train like we were on last year...winning 7 in a row....do you remember that? Great feeling, let's start this week Nick, are you ready?

lol, I would feel much more confident if we definitely had Mac this week. Hoyer is out, just put on IR, Zappe is going to be a work in progress. He's not quite ready for prime time yet. I liked his poise last week, but on a 3rd and 5 or 3rd and 8, it's going to be very challenging for him to get that first down. We saw it in OT, couldn't make that throw. Now Detroit's defense isn't as good as GB, but he pocket awareness isn't where it needs to be either. Some qb's it takes years and it's going to be his 2nd game. We shall see!!!!Your dad is a smart guy.
I do remember that and it’s a great feeling. The quarterback is the most important position on the field. If you have a good one, you should feel confident you can win. With Mac last year, we felt confident. Do you feel confident with Ahoyyyy and Frappe?
