Post Game Thread Jets @ Pats....Christmas Eve Massacre

One thing that often gets overlooked. Patriots have 18 rushing touchdowns to Green Bay's 10. That's a lot of TDs.

Reminds me of Rodgers and Green Bay in 2012, 7 TDs rushing, while the Patriots had 26.

People never look at these stats when judging a QBs performance.

The first time they ever looked at them was with Cam Newton last year (as well they should have).

4 of the 2012 TDs were actually run in by Brady.

james white dropped a couple more easy passes. dude is a coin flip everytime we throw him the ball, with those alligator arms of his.

Say what?????!??!?!

James White has been fantastic going up and getting the ball over his career. He's made several spectacular catches that our receivers can't make.

He drops one ball and now he is untrustworthy?

Doesn't Matt Ryan just destroy weak teams throwing to Julio and blow 4th quarter leads?

I haven't watched many full Falcons games but from the glimpses I've seen, Ryan spreads it around pretty well.

Jones, Gabriel, Sanu, Freeman & Coleman

I wouldn't be outraged if Rodgers or Elliott won MVP. Rodgers started off slow but is in the process of carrying them into the postseason and his stats are very good. Matt Ryan and Andrew Luck are the guys people like to bring up that make 0 sense to me.

I still, of course, think Brady deserves it.

Ryan is blowing away Rodgers statistically.

Same TD to INTs exactly, but

Ryan leads AR 69% to 65% completion %.
115 to 100 passing rating.
310 yards per game to 270 yards per game.
9.3 yards per pass to 7.1 yards per pass.

People should start getting used to the idea that Matt Ryan will be voted MVP.

I must have been looking at the wrong row when I was looking up QB stats this morning. Could have sworn his TD-INT ratio was pedestrian (by 2016 standards) but I accept my mistake.

So why didn't Malcom brown play? Strangeroo.

it wasn't "one ball" he's consistently dropped incredibly easy passes.

That's just it. A QB drives their team down the field for a Rushing TD and gets no credit even if he went 6 for 6 to get them to the goal line.

Your thinking the last couple of games maybe but over the season White has the second best catch rate behind only Bennett.

He dropped like two or three passes over the past two games. Otherwise he has generally had sure hands. Players drop passes, as long as it doesn't continue I have zero concerns whatsoever. Getting a long TD grab largely cancels out the drop.

Didn't seem like Tom felt he was untrustworthy as he went back to him on a deep route after the drop.

Fantastic win by the Pats over the Jets. I expected a win but not the blowout that we got to enjoy.

Jets fans must be walking up to ledges and contemplating the leap right about now, LOL.

Brady was magnificent as usual and this defense...

Can we talk about Malcom Butler? The dude is simply a BEAST. Looking like the best corner in the division if not the entire AFC the way he's been playing. 2 picks, a fumble recovery, totally dominated the game. We need to lock up Butler to a long term extension pronto!

Didn't want to start a new thread but, it's incredible the confidence Brady has in Mitchell. He's easily throwing to him in double coverage and more, counting on him to make the play, and he does. Losing Gronk sucks, but Mitchell is like another vet to go along with Julian and hogan.

Details for those of us not in NE
Actually after the game, go to Patriots.com and click on the left box. It is a love stream of the post game press conferences......
Great way for us outside NE to see what the locals do.....
