Re: Pioli Related: Draft Analysis Experts Needed
What percentage of our first 3 round draft picks are starters for more than 2 years?
How does this compare with the rest of the NFL (rank)?
not official but here goes
2000 Klemm sucked and JR wasnt a started but did have some contributions
2001 Seymour perenial Starter and Light perenial starter Brock Williams sucked
2002 Graham perennial starter Deion perenial starter
2003 Ty Warren perennial starter Eugene Wilson starter more than 2 years
2004 Vince Wilfork perennial starter Ben Watson perennial starter Marquise Hill RIP
2005 Logan Mankins perennial starter Ellis Hobbs two years starting Kazcur 2 years starting
2006 Maroney verdict still out but hasn't hit the two years as a starter Chad Jack Bust and Dave Thomas not as bad but Bust
2007 Brandon Meriweather one of two years starting will be next year also we traded our 2 for Welker who basically is the starter for two years
There you have if you use your starter for 2 years as a barometer of success than the patriots are 12 0f 19. That is me putting Meriweather in the 2 year starter column and puting Hill in the not list though he probably should have been left out I figured technically he was in the not side and probably would never have been a 2 year starter for us. also it should be noted some on the list in the not side did contribute in some way or another just were not 2 year starters and still may pass that mark. Also note that most of the players who have not hit that 2 year barometer were more recent and still have time to do it.
