Phillip Dorsett - did he play?

I don’t get the lack of use of Dorsett either, seems to me every time the guy is given a chance he comes up big. Hogan did make some nice catches against KC, but he’s been inconsistent at best this year.

Both Hogan and Dorsett are probably OK as a 3rd WR. We need a better outside receiver to play almost every down.

The whole game is a blur to me, were the Rams taking away White and/or was he on pass protection duties on several snaps?

They did a good job taking away white. I can only recall one play where we caught the rams on a screen but Brady made one of his worst throws of the night into the ground.

Dorsett's usage was really puzzling. He has a 76% catch rate according to Football Outsiders in the regular season. And yet he has been the opposite of featured in this offense. That would be third in the league among players with 50+ catches. (He only had 44 catches.)

Patterson had a similar 75% catch rate, but we know that many of those were gimmicky plays, picks, shovels, screens, etc. Dorsett seemed to be running a diverse downfield route tree. So it's weird that Brady seems more apt to force the ball into Hogan with whom he was a yard or two off all game.

I hope we never see Dorsett in a Patriots uniform again Brady doesn't trust him and he's just isn't very good.

He won the Chiefs game with that amazing catch in the end zone. I would like to see him rather than Hogan next season.

What makes you think that a trade for a known quantity (given how many picks we have this year) is not on the table ? Especially if Gronk is not back.

Whatever WR we trade for, let's get him here in the Spring, not mid-season which never works.

Love Hogs. Respect what he’s done for us in the past, the guy just can’t create separation. I always sub in Dorsett for Hogan in Madden & run the WR screen. Impossible to stop with Dorsett’s speed.
